About Our Parish

St. Rose of Lima was founded in 1957 and officially became a parish from the Diocese of Paterson in 1958. The parish currently has 1,500 families serving East Hanover and area towns.
We are a diverse Catholic community of young and old, families and singles, of various backgrounds, with many talents and gifts to share together. We are a parish with a strong history of parishioner participation and growth.
We have 1500 families currently enrolled and many more in the process of becoming part of our St. Rose family.
We are increasing family and adult spirituality programs.
We care deeply about how to pass on the Catholic faith to our young parishioners. Currently we have 450 children in our Religious Education program and 160 young adults in our Youth Ministry program.
We are caring for our senior and homebound parishioners who are such a vital part of our lives.
We are inspired to serve others in our worship together, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist.
